This series is a visual reflection on the coexistence of diverse beings. All of them combine human and animal qualities in varying proportions. They are closely connected and intertwined, existing literally side by side. Some of them are merely shadows of the past and just a hint of presence in reality.

This is a metaphor for how we function in society: we encounter natures completely opposite to our own and must find ways to resolve conflicts. Likewise, we carry within us our own ghosts of the past: pleasant memories and traumas which also take on their own forms. All these creatures bubble in the constant emotional flow of our daily lives. How do we live with them? How do we make peace with and accept our past shadows without being consumed by other members of society and their ghosts?
